Works Good for a Textbook

I'll be honest and say that I didn't actually read this on my own - this text was purchased for a college course. But I found the selection of poetry interesting, and the writers offer enough foot notes and explanations to really help you keep in tune with what the writers from these different eras were talking about and addressing. Of course there's the standard biographies and footnotes, but there's also points where the text will give background info on the different eras - again helping to keep students on the same page with what was going on to help them engage with the text more actively.

Chug Chug Chug!

I love this anthology. There was so much in it that a single semester of British Literature could never cover which is sad because I truly wish the course could last forever -- obviously I had a lot of fun. Regardless, this is a good thing because most of the material in this anthology should be taken in small spoonfuls and not swallowed down as with a beer bong. Ah, the good ol' days.
